Why is this product a "second"?
"Seconds" are brand new, and in the original packaging. Generally, these shoes have very minor cosmetic blemishes which may include an off stitch or minor imperfection in the dye.
These styles meet New Balance specifications in every other way, and in no way affect the performance of the shoe. Our standard return policy is honored with these shoes. |
- C-CAP® is simply compression-molded EVA foam. New Balance takes a 6-8" sheet of EVA and compresses it into the mold of the midsole.
- The ENCAP® technology consists of a layer of polyurethane encasing an EVA foam core. This polyurethane is very durable. In fact, if you were holding a piece in your hands, you would have a hard time squeezing the polyurethane together! In contrast, the soft foam core of the ENCAP® provides effective cushioning. Combined, the polyurethane and EVA foam offer unsurpassed durability and stability. Shoes with the ENCAP® are often ideal for people who really pound on their feet.
